Job Summary
Join Big-D as a Senior Estimator responsible for defining work scope, selecting subcontractors, and developing relationships within the construction industry. The role demands proficiency in quantity takeoffs, Timberline, and understanding of CPM Scheduling, including translating it into construction budgets. Successful candidates will possess strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a solid knowledge of market conditions. A Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field and at least 5 years of experience as an Estimator is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or similar degree
- 5+ years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
- Great customer service skills
- Excellent computer skills, typing, Microsoft Office Suite, and Bluebeam
- Proficient in OnScreen Takeoff (OST)
- Consistently produces accurate work and has excellent attention to detail
- Good time management skills
- Profit oriented
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Work well in a team environment
- Industry knowledge and aware of current market conditions and subcontractor network
Desired Qualifications
- Construction field experience preferred
- Knowledge of the subcontractor network in the CA market is preferred
