Job Summary
Senior Environmental Test Engineer responsible for planning, designing, and executing environmental tests across programs, writing test plans and procedures, developing schedules and budgets, overseeing test execution, analyzing data in real time and post-test, and communicating results to leadership and customers. Role involves developing test methods for meeting customer requirements, designing and analyzing vibration and structural test fixtures using CREO Parametric and Ansys Workbench, and ensuring tests are performed accurately, on schedule, and within budget. Onsite role based in Tucson, AZ; requires collaboration with internal program customers and cross-functional teams to qualify new products and support investigations and evaluations.
Required Qualifications
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of technical writing experience in test planning, analysis, or reporting
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience with environmental test vibration shaker systems or instrumentation (accelerometers, thermocouples, strain gages, load cells) and data acquisition systems (Dewetron, DeweSoft, LabView, Agilent/Keysight, Benchlink, Somat)
Additional Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required for security clearance; ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance; active DoD clearance status or interim clearance required
