Job Summary
Conduct audits, analyze, and report environmental performance to clients and regulatory bodies. Advise design and construction teams on minimizing environmental impacts and manage subcontractors for specific environmental tasks. Perform impact assessments to mitigate risks and costs, then prepare reports for leadership review. Coordinate public hearings, consultations, and staff training on environmental responsibilities while raising awareness of emerging issues. Ensure compliance with local regulations and new legislation through technical writing and communication.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering or an environmental related field required
Desired Qualifications
- Environmental certification preferred
- 3+ years' experience or training in environmental regulatory and construction industry compliance preferred
- CPESC Certification (CA QSP) preferred
- Knowledge of the local regulations or skill sets related to the specific work on project
- Technical writing and communication skills
- Able to lead a team or project effort
- Able to manage subcontractors for project specific specialty environmental work
