Job Summary
Manage municipal and industrial pretreatment program projects from proposal through completion, including permit development, compliance auditing, and SIU inspections. Interpret federal, state, and local regulations to create permitting strategies and technical reports for industrial clients. Coordinate with regulatory agencies and facilities while overseeing project budgets, schedules, and client relationships. Support POTW program implementation and business growth initiatives. This role serves as a technical expert and trusted advisor for complex regulatory programs across New England.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 8–15 years of experience in environmental consulting, wastewater compliance, or pretreatment program management
- Strong knowledge of EPA Pretreatment Regulations (40 CFR Part 403)
- Strong knowledge of NPDES permitting
- Strong knowledge of Industrial wastewater regulations
- Strong knowledge of Permit development and compliance management
- Experience working directly with municipal pretreatment programs and industrial facilities
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and client relationships simultaneously
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with local limits development
- Experience supporting POTW program audits
- Existing relationships with municipal or industrial clients in New England
- Business development and proposal-writing experience
