Job Summary
Senior Environmental Specialist to lead environmental compliance activities across Indiana operations for Country View Family Farms. Responsibilities include managing environmental reporting, inspections, permitting (CAFO/NPDES), manure and nutrient management planning, optimizing manure hauling and budgets, maintaining nutrient and odor management programs, driving continuous improvement, and collaborating with regulatory agencies. Travel to farm sites with occasional overnight travel; require strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and ability to develop practical solutions. Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience; 5+ years of experience; driver’s license; certification in nutrient/odor management preferred; knowledge of NPDES CAFO permits and environmental regulations; willingness to travel; benefits include relocation assistance; salary range $85,000-$106,000; company vehicle provided for eligible positions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Resource Management, Agronomy, Soil Science, or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five years of related experience
- valid driver’s license
- Certification in preparing nutrient management plans and odor management plans is preferred
- working knowledge of NPDES CAFO permits and other agricultural environmental regulations and compliance requirements
