Job Summary
Senior Environmental Specialist - Air responsible for serving as SME on Clean Air Act regulations and air permitting; coordinating permitting activities for Refining and Renewable Fuels projects; providing environmental engineering support to ensure compliance with environmental programs; building relationships with refinery and operations teams; leading auditing and compliance initiatives; supporting regulatory advocacy and budgeting discussions; travel and on-site work at multiple MPC refineries/headquarters with after-hours and field duties; relocation may be available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a HES related field or Engineering degree
- 7 years relevant professional environmental experience in a process industry such as refining, midstream, petrochemical or other heavy industry
- Detailed knowledge on current and proposed environmental Air Rules and Regulations (Air quality regulations, including NSPS, MACT, NESHAP, Emissions Inventory, NSR, PSD, and Title V)
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Must be able to wear appropriate PPE in the refinery (respirator) and physically perform all tasks in the field
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US without the need for future VISA sponsorship
- Travel requirement 25%-50%
- Must be able to obtain a TWIC Card
