Job Summary
Coordinate and manage field investigations and technical reporting while participating in fieldwork to collect environmental data. Prepare high-standard technical reports and project deliverables, and input into proposals and bids for both large and small projects. Work with clients to build relationships and deliver solutions, providing support, guidance, and direction to early professional and graduate-level colleagues. Assist with the delivery of diverse, technically challenging environmental projects, including multi-disciplinary transport alliances and closed landfill assessments. This role offers broad career development opportunities within AECOM's Contaminated Land team in Hamilton, with potential pathways to project management and business development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or post graduate degree in environmental science, geology or related earth science subjects
- Ideally 5+ years in contaminated land management, environmental site assessments (PSI/DSI) and/or remediation projects
- High competency field skills including, sampling and monitoring of soil, groundwater, surface water, and vapours/gas
- A 'can-do' attitude and willingness to get out of your comfort zone
- A collaborative, proactive and team-based mindset
- Willingness to travel across New Zealand
- A valid full driving licence
- Experience using software programmes such as Excel
- Experience using software programmes such as Arc-GIS
- Experience using software programmes such as Pro-UCL
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to plan and prepare deliverables to a high standard
- Ability to transition between large multi-disciplinary projects and smaller single-issue commissions
