Job Summary

As a Senior Environmental Project Manager, you will manage projects related to the assessment, monitoring, management, and remediation of contaminated sites. Responsibilities include project delivery, client communication, mentoring junior staff, overseeing field sampling and reporting, and preparing remediation plans. The ideal candidate has a degree in environmental science or related field, and over 10 years of contaminated site work including expertise in environmental site assessments and remediation techniques. Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements in oil and gas and construction settings is necessary.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a degree or a technical diploma in environmental science, engineering, geology, hydrogeology, or environmental related studies
  • 10+ years of experience in contaminated site work including managing and leading environmental site assessments (Phase I, II, and III ESAs), soil and groundwater sampling, and remediation programs
  • Valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle required for occasional travel to job sites/client facilities
  • Professional status or eligibility for professional status with a professional organization (P.Eng., P.Geo., P.Ag., A.Sc.T, P.Tech, C.E.T etc.) preferred

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working in the energy sector
  • Experience with various contaminants of concern including hydrocarbons, salinity, and/or sampling for PFAS
  • Experience with various remediation techniques (e.g. excavation, biological treatment, in-situ treatment/remediation, risk assessment, reclamation)
  • Knowledge and practical application of health & safety requirements unique to oil and gas facilities, construction sites, subsurface investigations, and contaminated sites
