Senior Environmental Project Manager

Job Summary
Manage a portfolio of over 50 client sites, overseeing project execution, scope teams, and legislative health & safety compliance for environmental assessments and remediation projects. Synthesize site-specific data to develop conceptual models, conduct risk assessments for contaminated sites, and lead risk-based remedial objectives. Contribute to client business growth plans, facilitate networking with potential clients, and mentor staff to address competency gaps while supervising career development. This role involves moderately complex to complex work plans within a demanding consultative environment, requiring travel and occasional field work.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of five (5) years' experience in environmental site assessment and remediation, preferably in a consulting environment
- Experience successfully managing and maintaining client relationships
- Knowledge and experience with relevant provincial legislation and familiarity with the environmental site assessment process
- Eligibility for membership in a relevant professional organization
- Must be able to meet the requirements of site access as dictated by our clients, this may include pre-access drug, alcohol and fitness testing
- Possess a valid, non-GDL Class 5 Drivers license
- Understanding of the Alberta Tier 1 guideline documents and/or equivalent documents from other jurisdictions as required
- Application of Alberta Tier 2 risk-based solutions and/or equivalent approaches from other jurisdictions as required
- Understanding of the upstream and downstream oil & gas industry, oil sands industry and commercial/industrial/brownfields environmental industry
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary setting
- Able to work either independently or as a part of a team interacting with other team members and contractors
- Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Excellent safety attitude
