Job Summary
Senior Environmental Project Manager, Abandoned Mine Lands to lead multi-state AML reclamation and remediation projects from concept through regulatory approval. Lead and manage multiple concurrent projects and budgets; provide senior-level leadership for AML reclamation planning, directing cost estimating, multidisciplinary teams, and regulatory-ready deliverables. Develop advanced plans, specifications, and designs for complex environmental and infrastructure projects; oversee permitting packages for state and local agencies across mining, oil & gas, AML, and site development. Lead technical proposal and SOQ development and represent the organization in pre-bid meetings and agency presentations. Supervise, mentor, and coordinate staff and stakeholders to ensure effective communication, project delivery, agency relationships, and health & safety compliance. Requires engineering or related technical degree and 15+ years of experience in design, environmental permitting, and implementation; PE licensure preferred; deep knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations including SMCRA and multi-state regulations; proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; willingness and ability to travel 35%.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering or related technical degree
- 15+ years of experience in design, environmental permitting, and implementation
- PE licensure preferred
- Advanced knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations, including SMCRA Titles IV and V and Title 25 Chapters 77, 78, 86, 102, and 105
- Working knowledge of PA, OH, WV, and IN regulations, with multi-state regulatory familiarity
- Advanced technical expertise in AML and reclamation planning and design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Ability to travel 35% of the time
