Job Summary

Senior Environmental Planner/Project Manager - Energy responsible for leading environmental planning and permitting efforts (CEQA/NEPA) for energy projects in Northern California. Responsibilities include managing project teams, preparing environmental documents, leading due diligence on siting for energy infrastructure, providing project management across schedules and budgets, supporting business development and proposals, mentoring staff, and coordinating with clients, technical staff, and subconsultants. Role emphasizes seller-doer activities in energy transmission and renewable energy projects, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance and entitlements. Based in Sacramento, Oakland, San Francisco, or San Jose with hybrid work options.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental planning or related field
  • 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in electric transmission and renewable energy (e.g., solar, wind, energy storage) through CEQA/NEPA documents, routing and siting analysis, land use entitlement applications, and/or lead/manage multi-disciplinary technical teams for permitting
  • Valid U.S. Driver's license
  • U.S. Citizenship required
