Job Summary
Senior Environmental Engineer, PE needed to lead remediation projects in Jacksonville, FL. Responsible for managing environmental remediation projects from conception to completion, providing technical guidance, evaluating remediation technologies, designing and implementing remediation systems (e.g., air sparging, soil vapor extraction), overseeing field activities and contractor oversight, and preparing technical reports. Requires 5–10 years of remediation experience, a Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field, and a Professional Engineer license. Travel ~10%. Strong knowledge of environmental laws/regulations, ability to mentor junior staff, and experience with client communications and project documentation. Preferred certifications such as LEED or CEM, and additional credentials like PMP or CHMM are a plus. A valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to pass drug screening and background checks are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, mechanical, or chemical engineering (ABET-accredited)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 5–10 years of experience in environmental remediation and consulting
- Knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and standards
- Experience designing, constructing, and operating remediation systems
- Proficiency with engineering calculations, drawings, and permit applications
- Experience with pilot tests and remediation-system management
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
