Job Summary
Administer the full lifecycle of environmental permits, including Air Quality, NPDES, Water Rights, and Endangered Species. Lead the development of critical plans like SWPPP and SPCC, while managing timely submissions of regulatory reports and emissions inventories. Build relationships with local, state, and federal regulators to represent the company at public hearings and ensure all sites operate within the law. Conduct site inspections, provide hands-on guidance to Plant Managers on best practices, and serve as a technical lead for incidents involving remediation and root-cause analysis. Assist in property acquisitions by overseeing Phase I/II investigations and coordinate with land management teams for mining reclamation. Develop training programs for site personnel and implement engineering solutions to reduce resource consumption. Actively promote and adhere to Martin Marietta's safety standards while working in all weather conditions and noise levels up to 85 decibels.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related STEM field
- 5+ years of experience in Environmental Compliance, preferably within the Aggregates, Mining, or Heavy Construction Industries

- Must have good depth perception with or without seeing aid for distances up to 150 feet
- All duties require outside assignments and require periods of work in all weather conditions, cold, wet, dry, and dusty
- Must be able to work in areas where noise levels are up to 85 dbs
