Job Summary
Senior Environmental Engineer I providing project management and technical leadership for environmental investigation and remediation projects, as well as assisting in the development of technical staff to meet client and organizational needs. Responsibilities include managing projects with scheduling and coordination of resources, ensuring task schedules and client invoicing align with standards, coordinating data collection and review, interpreting data, developing and finalizing reports for project leadership, assisting with proposals and business development, mentoring junior staff, and leading field activities at industrial/brownfield sites while coordinating subcontractors. Required abilities include remediation cost estimation, remedial design (conceptual and detailed), client and regulatory interaction, and strong written/verbal communication and analytical skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field
- Minimum of 7 years environmental consulting experience in the real estate space in Texas
- Holds professional certification as a P.E., or absence of certification with a minimum of 7 years working with a licensed professional
- Proficient in senior level interpretation work including remedial cost estimates, future remedial measures selection, and costing
- Experience performing conceptual and detailed remedial design work
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Advanced data evaluation and analytical skills
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Experience interacting with clients and regulatory agencies
- Ability and willingness to support the technical growth of project/staff level professionals based on direct hands-on interactions
