Job Summary
Coordinate and manage remediation projects for contaminated sites, including designing exploration programs, risk assessments, and budgeting. Prepare data analytics reports, analyze technical problems, and draft requests for proposal and tender documents. Lead client relationships across public and private sectors while mentoring junior staff and distributing work within multi-disciplinary teams. Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environment policies, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards for soil, groundwater, and air quality. Work from the Seattle office with occasional travel to project sites, balancing desktop support for regional and international initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent
- 6 to 8+ years of related experience
- 1 to 3+ years of project management experience in a client-facing role
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
- Solid understanding of the Washington State Department of Ecology Model Toxics Control Act for site cleanups, particularly focusing on the development of reports including feasibility studies and cleanup action plans
- Experience in the design and implementation of the various technologies associated with the remediation of a wide range of hazardous materials/waste
- Proven experience in coordinating and simultaneously managing multiple projects while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail in a consulting environment
- Self-starter and willingness to work in a team in a fast-paced environment
- Must be organized and have strong written and technical skills
- Critical thinking and problem solving – ability to identify multiple solutions to a problem
- Commitment to safety utilizing a behavior based safety (BBS) culture in all aspects of the job
- OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification activities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
