Job Summary
Manage client environmental projects from concept through completion by preparing compliance plans, including SWPPPs and SPCC Plans, and submitting air and wastewater permit applications. Conduct onsite assessments, perform emissions calculations, and oversee annual regulatory reports such as Tier II and Form R. Independently lead tank system design projects and support wastewater treatment improvements while mentoring junior staff. This hybrid role in Connecticut requires primarily local travel with occasional out-of-state trips.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related scientific or engineering discipline
- Minimum of 8 years of environmental compliance consulting experience
- Demonstrated expertise preparing environmental compliance plans, permits, and regulatory reports
- Strong understanding of federal and state environmental regulations affecting industrial facilities
- Exceptional technical writing and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex regulatory requirements clearly
- Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to independently manage projects and client relationships
- Willingness to travel primarily throughout Connecticut, with occasional out-of-state travel

- Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
- Professional Engineer (PE)
