Senior Enterprise Systems Engineer

Job Summary
Support and scale a rapidly expanding global infrastructure by operating mission-critical systems alongside a technical team. Maintain periodic on-site presence at data centers and travel as needed to support physical infrastructure. Deliver complex projects end to end, driving issues to resolution autonomously with excellent troubleshooting skills. Partner cross-functionally with software, hardware, and network engineering teams to deliver tools and visualizations for data-driven decisions. This role requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree with 4+ or 2+ years of experience in enterprise-level system engineering, proficiency in Python, Bash, and PowerShell, and expertise in container technology, cloud platforms, and storage administration. The position involves full-time work in Pittsburgh, Dearborn, or Palo Alto with visa sponsorship available. Latitude AI builds hands-free ADAS for Ford's autonomous driving roadmap.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and 4+ years of relevant experience or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with system engineering in an enterprise-level, highly integrated, complex IT environment
- Proficiency scripting and automating with Python, Bash, and/or Powershell
- Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with monitoring and observability tooling (e.g., LogicMonitor, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Experience with public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Familiarity with NFS, Fiber Channel connected storage and networking concepts
- Experience with storage administration/management (VAST)
- Experience configuring server automation and configuration management tools (ex. Ansible, Terraform)
- Experience with container technology (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledgeable of DNS and IPAM (Infoblox)
- Identity management (Microsoft Entra, OpenLDAP, AD)
- Experience with backup and recovery (Veeam)
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems design, development, maintenance techniques, and processes
- Experience with administration of, and workflow enhancement/building with, project tracking software (Atlassian Jira)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a track record of working across Engineering, Program Management, Operations, and Senior Leadership
- Self-directed, with effective prioritization and time management
- Comfortable in a fast paced, high-output environment with shifting priorities and multiple concurrent projects
- Strong documentation skills and a genuine willingness to learn new technologies
- Experience with root cause analysis and error correction
- Excellent documentation skills required
- A willingness and ability to learn and internalize new technologies
