Job Summary
Design and maintain automation scripts using Python, Java, or C# for Medtronic's CRM application development team. Create reusable test components and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines to ensure accuracy in medical device software. Execute performance, security, and regression tests while debugging issues in automation frameworks and test environments. Manage version control with Git and collaborate on requirements analysis for embedded and mobile applications.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, often Python, Java, or C#
- Experience with popular automation tools like Selenium, Appium, JUnit, or TestNG
- Knowledge of different testing frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, Robot Framework)
- The ability to design effective test cases, create automation scripts, and develop reusable test components
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and DevOps practices
- Proficiency in using version control systems like Git
- Understanding databases and SQL
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in performance, security, and regression testing, particularly in an automated context
- The ability to analyze requirements, identify potential issues, and design effective test strategies
- Thoroughness and attention to detail
- The ability to diagnose and resolve issues in automation scripts, test environments, or software under test
- Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Computer Sciences, Bio-Technology, Bio-Medical, Electronics or Electrical Engineering from a premium institute
- 8 - 12 years of Software industry experience
- Proficiency with one or more of the following programming languages: Java, Java Script, C#, Appium or any equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in Software/Test framework Design & architecture
- Experience developing manual / automated tests for mobile and embedded applications
- Experience using tools like SeeTest, Appium, Selenium, Protractor, or Coded UI
- Familiarity and understanding of one or more of the following tools: Visual Studio, Automated test tool Microsoft Test Manager, Web based applications, Eclipse, Visual Source Safe, and Requisite Pro
- Familiarity and understanding of one or more of the following operating systems: Android and IOS
- Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall software development methods
- Ability to test, analyze, and solve technical problems
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Excellent written, organizational, and communication skills
- A flexible and team-oriented attitude
- Self-motivated and positive
- Ability to quickly establish credibility with all levels of customer base
Desired Qualifications
- Masters in Engineering or Masters in Technology Computer Sciences, Bio-Technology, Bio-Medical, Electronics or Electrical Engineering from a premium institute
- Experience using BDD test tools frameworks like SpecFlow, Cucumber, or Gherkin
- Experience developing manual / automated tests for mobile and embedded applications
- Web Application
- Design/test experience working with regulated medical devices
- Experience working within a regulated environment
- Local language test experience
