Job Summary
Senior Enrolled Agent (EA) leadership opportunity in a growing tax law firm. Lead and mentor staff, manage workflow and team development, conduct technical reviews, and serve as a primary client contact. Handle complex IRS and state tax controversy matters including Offers in Compromise, Installment Agreements, audits, appeals, penalty abatements, and collections, while developing strategic solutions for high-net-worth and business clients. Collaborate with attorneys and leadership on advanced tax matters and provide client strategy guidance. Hybrid setting in the Atlanta market with potential for fully remote consideration for a candidate with strong experience and a proven track record.
Required Qualifications
- Active Enrolled Agent (EA) credential in good standing
- 5+ years of experience focused on tax controversy, tax resolution, or IRS representation
- Strong understanding of IRS collections, audits, appeals, and compliance procedures
- Prior experience mentoring staff or leading teams preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with tax, legal, or practice management software platforms
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced professional environment
