Job Summary
Execute preventive maintenance, repairs, and installation of process equipment supporting Phase I through commercial biologics production. Analyze engineering solutions for maintenance, continuous improvement, quality, and safety initiatives, including failure investigations for bioprocess systems like fermenters, bioreactors, and chromatography units. Troubleshoot and lead repairs while working within Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to complete work orders and maintain engineering documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to manage spare parts inventory, generate preventive maintenance SOPs, and develop troubleshooting guides. Perform hands-on mechanical and electrical repairs in cleanrooms requiring full gowning, adhering to all GMP and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 5 years of related work experience
- experience in GMP / Bio-Pharma maintenance and/or engineering
- Clean room experience
- experience in a similar GMP / FDA regulated industry
- abilities in mechanical/electrical repairs and maintenance
- basic math and computer skills
- ability to clearly communicate (verbal, written)
- ability to lift/carry 40 lbs
- ability to work on ladders/step stools
- ability to follow all Catalent's Safety and Quality procedures and practices
- Day Shift - 6am-6pm Sunday - Tuesday and every other Wednesday
- Location: Harmans, MD - BWI 100% Onsite
