Job Summary
Senior Engineering Specialist / Principal Engineer – Civil/Structural responsible for technical delivery of complex structural systems for commercial power projects. Lead design and analysis of turbine-generator and machine foundations, coordinate with geotechnical teams, oversee concrete and structural steel calculations and material requisitions, provide technical oversight using finite element modeling (e.g., ANSYS, GT-STRUDL, SAP2000, STAAD), mentor staff, and ensure adherence to engineering standards and project budgets/schedules. Requires extensive civil/structural experience, proficiency in advanced modeling, and PE licensure or progression toward licensure. Relocation is authorized at national level; role based in Bechtel India offices (Gurugram) with in-office/project work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in civil engineering
- 15+ years of relevant structural engineering experience (Senior Engineering Specialist) or 20+ years (Principal Engineer)
- Master's degree in structural engineering preferred
- Active US Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 12 months of joining
