Job Summary
Senior Engineering Project Manager leads customer projects from concept through execution and closeout, coordinating cross-functional teams, developing detailed project plans (timelines, milestones, resource assignments) and budgets, supporting conceptual and detailed engineering efforts (P&IDs, system designs, cost estimates), managing change orders, and providing technical leadership. This senior contributor mentors less experienced team members, influences project execution standards, communicates status and risks to customers and internal stakeholders, and ensures delivery on time, within scope, and within budget while adhering to safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related engineering discipline
- Ten (10) years of combined experience in project management, engineering, or a related technical role
- External customer/client management experience
- Knowledge of reading contract terms & conditions, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P & IDs), General Arrangement (GA) Drawings and Electrical Schematics
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across multiple departments to drive project completion
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time
