Job Summary
Lead assigned customer projects from award through execution and closeout, managing communications, expectations, scope, schedules, and change orders while ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget. Develop detailed project plans, coordinate cross-functional engineering and procurement activities, and provide technical leadership by reviewing system designs, P&IDs, and cost estimates. Partner with customers and internal teams to define technical requirements, manage project budgets, and communicate status, risks, and financials to stakeholders. Mentor less experienced team members, evaluate completed projects for continuous improvement, and adhere to all safety policies. Requires a Bachelor's in engineering, eight years of combined experience, and willingness to travel 20%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related engineering discipline
- Eight (8) years of combined experience in project management, engineering, or a related technical role
- External customer/client management experience
- Knowledge of reading contract terms & conditions, specification language, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P & IDs), General Arrangement (GA) Drawings and Electrical Schematics
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across multiple departments to drive project completion
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software
- Passion for customer relations and delivering high-quality solutions
- Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time
Desired Qualifications
- PMP certification or formal project management training
- Experience in industrial water treatment or a related technical industry
- Experience working with EPC firms
