Job Summary
Lead customer projects from award through closeout, managing communications, scope, schedules, and change orders while ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to approved specifications. Develop detailed project plans, coordinate cross-functional engineering and procurement activities, and support design efforts by creating or reviewing system designs, P&IDs, and cost estimates. Serve as the primary technical point of contact, translating customer requirements into executable deliverables, managing vendor selection, and providing guidance on complex engineering challenges. Mentor team members, communicate project status and risks to stakeholders, and evaluate completed projects to drive continuous improvement. Requires a Bachelor's in engineering, eight years of experience, and 20% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related engineering discipline
- Eight (8) years of combined experience in project management, engineering, or a related technical role
- External customer/client management experience
- Knowledge of reading contract terms & conditions, specification language, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P & IDs), General Arrangement (GA) Drawings and Electrical Schematics
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across multiple departments to drive project completion
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software
- Passion for customer relations and delivering high-quality solutions
- Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time
Desired Qualifications
- PMP certification or formal project management training
- Experience in industrial water treatment or a related technical industry
- Experience working with EPC firms
