Job Summary
Senior Engineering Manager leading the Solutions Engineering team across Austin and DC, owning people, delivery quality, and hiring standards for Solution Engineers, Senior Solution Engineers, and Solution Architects; hands-on leadership in deployment lifecycle from ConOps through field execution and handoff with strong emphasis on technically solid customer-facing deliverables, cross-functional collaboration with Product Management, Mission Leads, Field Operations, and engineering counterparts, and a track record of driving high-quality engineering outcomes in defense/autonomy/B2B environments; requires ability to read Python/C++/Rust, manage engineers, and operate in a security-cleared, citizenship-restricted environment; hybrid on-site in Austin with travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of engineering experience
- 3+ years directly managing engineers
- Track record leading customer-facing or forward-deployed engineering teams in defense, autonomy, or comparable high-stakes B2B environments
- Strong technical credibility; able to read Python, C++, or Rust and evaluate integration architecture decisions
- Excellent written communication
- U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance
