Job Summary
Lead and mentor a fully remote renewable energy engineering team delivering ESPCs for solar PV, BESS, microgrid, and EV charging projects nationwide. Act as the technical owner, guide project strategy and risk mitigation from feasibility through construction handoff, and collaborate with Sales Executives to align engineering solutions with business goals. Oversee proposals, system layouts, energy production estimates, and schedules; drive optimization through advanced energy modeling, interconnection strategies, and vendor/utility coordination. Foster a culture of trust, psychological safety, and autonomy while managing resources and cross-functional relationships across a national project pipeline. Senior responsibilities include hiring and developing engineers, owning technical delivery, and ensuring post-construction savings evaluation. Preferred qualifications include PE license, NABCEP PV Installation/Technical Sales certification, or CEM, and proficiency with PVSyst, Helioscope, Aurora, Energy Toolbase, Xendee, and HOMER Pro; travel up to 25% for site visits and client engagements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in renewable energy project development, engineering design, or a related field
- Demonstrated track record of successfully leading the development of utility-scale or complex commercial/industrial solar PV and/or battery energy storage (BESS) projects
