Senior Engineering Manager, Platform

Job Summary
Lead, coach, and grow a team of platform engineers across Infrastructure, DevOps, and Developer Experience while setting technical direction for platform architecture and roadmap execution. Balance short-term delivery with long-term investments in tooling, infrastructure, and reliability by overseeing cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and operational tooling in a regulated environment. Design and build AI-powered internal tools and agentic workflows that automate tasks and augment engineering productivity, while improving developer experience by reducing friction in onboarding, CI/CD, and local-to-prod workflows. Own incident management practices, postmortems, and sustainability of the on-call rotation, ensuring systems remain secure, scalable, observable, and resilient. Collaborate closely with product engineering, security, and compliance stakeholders to advocate for platform work tied to business impact.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, DevOps or SRE roles
- 3+ years managing and growing high-performing teams
- Familiarity with technologies like Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, ArgoCD, Datadog, PostgreSQL, CI/CD tooling, and GitOps
- Experience operating production systems and supporting on-call rotations
- Ability to set technical direction across both developer experience and infrastructure
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a focus on business impact
- Comfort using AI tools in your day-to-day workflow to accelerate development, debugging, and learning
- Experience in fintech or other regulated environments
- Prior experience as a Staff or Senior Engineer before moving into management
- Fluency in English
