Job Summary
Senior Engineering Manager to lead Belvo's Payments team focused on building a payments platform for the Mexico market. Responsibilities include coaching and developing the team, driving feature delivery, setting objectives and providing feedback, maintaining team happiness and productivity, cross-functional planning with product leads, maintaining technical acumen through hands-on coding when needed, participating in architecture discussions, and fostering a diverse hiring approach. Required: 4+ years in engineering leadership, startup experience, strong technical skills, experience recruiting, ability to operate with minimal specifications, project management skills, and experience with AI-powered tools and payments technologies in Mexico. Nice to have: large-scale platform experience, working in regulated environments, and experience leveraging AI to transform workflows. Tech stack includes Python/Django on backend and Vue.js on frontend; AWS infrastructure; Datadog monitoring; CI/CD practices. Remote-friendly with offices in Mexico City and São Paulo; flexible working hours; stock options and company bonuses.
