Job Summary
Senior Nuclear Engineering Manager responsible for leading engineering and technical consulting services for nuclear power projects within Hatch's Power Business Unit. The role manages studies and projects with client interfacing, budgets, and schedules; mentors junior staff; supports regional delivery; reviews technical deliverables; and leads business development and proposal activities (RFPs, EOIs, RFQs). The position emphasizes cross-discipline coordination, adherence to codes and standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget. Flexible work environment is offered within a global nuclear engineering context.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree from a recognized college
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience within the nuclear power industry
- Experienced working in a consulting engineering environment
- Experience with light water reactors and advanced reactor designs
- Ability to manage and motivate individuals to attain quality of deliverables , cost and schedule objectives
- Strong deliverable focus, ability to plan the work
- Broad knowledge of codes and standards for the nuclear industry
- A high degree of understanding of inter-discipline dependencies
- Able to prepare, read, and analyze engineering documents (P&IDs, PFDs, SLDs, plot plans, etc.)
- Proven track record in business development, development and maintenance of client relations
- Flexibility for short term business travels
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff and clients (both written and orally)
- Ability to plan and write comprehensive project reports
- Track record of delivering projects on time and to budget
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience within organizations and teams, people manager
- Experience in engineering, procurement and construction, and other project-related activities, their interfaces and interdependencies
