Job Summary
Senior Nuclear Engineering Manager responsible for leading engineering and business development for nuclear power projects within Hatch's Power Business Unit. Role entails planning, executing and delivering high-quality engineering and technical consulting services, managing assigned studies and projects (budgets and schedules), mentoring junior staff, supporting regional delivery, reviewing and approving technical deliverables, and driving proposals and pursuit plans for the nuclear Sub-BU. Requires strong communications with clients, proficiency in proposal management (RFPs, EOIs, RFQs), and a proven track record in client relations and business development.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree from a recognized college
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience within the nuclear power industry
- Experienced working in a consulting engineering environment
- Experience with light water reactors and advanced reactor designs
- Ability to manage and motivate individuals to attain quality of deliverables, cost and schedule objectives
- Strong deliverable focus, ability to plan the work
- Broad knowledge of codes and standards for the nuclear industry
- A high degree of understanding of inter-discipline dependencies
- Able to prepare, read, and analyze engineering documents (P&IDs, PFDs, SLDs, plot plans, etc.)
- Proven track record in business development, development and maintenance of client relations
- Flexibility for short term business travels
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff and clients (both written and orally)
- Ability to plan and write comprehensive project reports
- Track record of delivering projects on time and to budget
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience within organizations and teams, people manager
- Experience in engineering, procurement and construction, and other project-related activities, their interfaces and interdependencies
