Senior Engineering Manager

Drive Promise's roadmap and delivery end-to-end, partnering across Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Support. Set technical direction by reviewing PRs, arguing architecture, and driving an AI-native way of building with agent harnesses and loop engineering. Hold the quality bar by running short, hypothesis-driven cycles to ensure shipped features do not break customer trust. Build the team by hiring strong engineers, setting clear OKRs tied to product goals, and managing performance decisively. This role requires 8+ years of core engineering with 3+ years as an engineering manager in high-growth startups. Candidates must be located in Canada, working within EST/EDT or PST hours, with deep backend and/or data science experience. Full stack and machine learning leadership with hands-on AI tool usage is essential.
