Job Summary
Derive and drive the roadmap with key stakeholders while diagnosing and resolving obstacles that block the team from delivering quality software. Champion continuous improvement, apply first-principles thinking to complex technical problems, and distill ambiguous situations into actionable plans. Represent the customer's perspective, anticipate their impact from the build, and enable their success. Build and lead a team of engineers in India, establishing Rubrik's Hypervisor engineering presence in Bangalore, and collaborate closely with Hypervisor engineering in the U.S. Enable the team to self-organize and sustain high velocity and predictability. Grow employees through career development, coaching, and mentoring, providing a clear path for progression through personal development plans and goal-setting.
Required Qualifications
- BS CS/EE or equivalent
- 10+ years of industry experience
- 3+ years in Engineering Management
- Experience with on prem and SaaS enterprise software development
- Experience with distributed systems
- Experience with availability
- Experience with performance optimization
- Experience running engineering storage teams
- Experience running compute teams
- Experience running infrastructure teams
- Experience working on SaaS platforms
- Experience working on On-prem enterprise platforms
- Experience hiring and developing teams within an existing organization
- Experience working directly with customers
- Experience working directly with vendors
- Experience building and cultivating strong engineering practices
- Experience building and cultivating strong engineering processes
- Experience working with distributed teams
- Experience working with multiple timezones
