Job Summary
Senior Engineering Manager (Frontend) to lead consumer-facing web apps and the BFF layer. Own end-to-end delivery from discovery and architecture to implementation, testing, deployment, and post-release iteration. Build performant, accessible React/Next.js + TypeScript UIs with SSR/SSG as appropriate; design and implement REST/GraphQL APIs and BFF services with clear contracts and observability. Drive performance, security, and reliability at scale; mentor engineers, review designs and code, and collaborate with Product/Design to deliver high-quality incremental releases.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
- 10+ years building and operating production web applications and services
- 3+ years leading technical delivery and/or architecture
- Strong programming in TypeScript/JavaScript and at least one backend stack (Node.js or Java)
- Hands-on with modern web tooling (React, Next.js), automated testing, and CI/CD; proficiency with Docker and a major cloud (AWS preferred)
- Solid data/systems skills: relational and NoSQL stores, caching (Redis), message queues, and performance optimization
