Senior Engineering Manager - Data Engineering

Senior Engineering Manager for Data Engineering overseeing end-to-end data lifecycle and high-scale data pipelines within Nielsen's Digital & AI organization. Responsibilities include leading and mentoring engineering teams to achieve technical excellence and automation, owning the data engineering tech roadmap, and partnering with Product Management and Data Science to define system requirements for automated panel data processing and eligibility. Technical execution focuses on architecture and scaling of data pipelines using Spring Boot, ClickHouse, OpenSearch, and Logstash; transitioning to automated longitudinal data processing; ensuring robust data validation across event streams and batch jobs; and implementing performance standards and cloud-cost optimization. Strong backend expertise in Java/Spring Boot, deep experience with AWS, big data ecosystems, ETL tooling, SQL data validation, and leadership in Agile environments. Nice-to-have skills include experience in digital measurement, panel management, CTV platforms, privacy-focused measurement, and Databricks. The candidate will oversee data pipelines, measurement solutions across Streaming+ Infrastructure and PIE, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, accurate data platforms.
