Job Summary
Senior Engineering Manager, Cloud Infrastructure role focused on owning and evolving a robust Azure-based infrastructure with an emphasis on reliability, security, and cost efficiency. Hands-on leadership including Terraform/Terragrunt, Kubernetes operations, and CI/CD pipelines; build and maintain cloud data infrastructure (Fabric, databases, warehouses); own incident response and postmortems; collaborate with security and product teams; lead and hire a distributed team, fostering a culture of ownership. Role requires distributed-team leadership, strong security mindset, and active use of AI tools to improve operations. In-office expectations at San Francisco, New York, and Bangalore hubs with a hybrid work model; remote-friendly approach. Bay Area based with regular travel to SF.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years engineering experience with meaningful time managing cloud infrastructure teams
- Hands-on cloud infrastructure experience; Azure preferred but AWS/GCP acceptable with intent to go deep on Azure
- Proven ownership of DevOps end-to-end: CI/CD pipelines, IaC (Terraform/Terragrunt preferred), container orchestration with Kubernetes
- Security mindset: AuthN/AuthZ, network isolation, secrets management, zero-trust
- Demonstrated productivity improvements for engineering teams (internal platforms, tooling, deployment speed, developer experience)
- Experience using AI tools in active work and driving structured adoption
- Experience leading distributed teams across time zones and keeping remote engineers aligned
- Ability to operate in ambiguity, move fast, and adapt to priorities in startup/high-growth environments
- Payments or crypto domain knowledge is a plus; QA/testing infra is a bonus
- Willingness to travel to SF to work with team/clients; in-office expectations at multiple hubs
