Job Summary
Lead the Ads Backend team at Zattoo, shaping the SSAI platform architecture and serving as a hands-on technical lead. Own end-to-end development for revenue-impacting services, collaborate with Ingest & Storage, Streaming & CDN, and Playback teams, review designs, drive cross-team initiatives, and hire/develop 2–4 engineers while shaping the broader video platform direction.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years leading engineering teams
- Proficient in C++/Go
- Experience building highly available services and APIs that scale
- Experience with distributed systems and Kafka
- Non-relational databases (e.g. Scylla)
- Testing as a fundamental part of software development
- Fluent English
- Experience with advertising technology platforms, ad serving, and DAI/SSAI
- Broad experience across the video pipeline (ingest, transcoding, packaging, DRM, streaming, playback)
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years leading engineering teams
- Strong, current hands-on engineering: design, build, and review production code
- Proficient in C++/Go
- Experience building highly available services and APIs that scale
- Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures and message queues (e.g. Kafka)
- Non-relational databases (e.g. Scylla)
- Testing is a fundamental part of software development
- Fluent English, written and verbal
- Experience with advertising technology platforms, ad serving, and dynamic ad insertion (DAI/SSAI)
- Broad experience across the video pipeline (ingest, transcoding, packaging, DRM, streaming, playback)
- Hands-on leadership and capability to act as technical lead
- Ability to review designs and contribute to architecture
- Ability to own end-to-end development process and operational excellence
- Collaborative cross-team engagement and stakeholder communication
