Job Summary
Own Money Movement, Liquidity, Cash, and Asset Management by designing foundations for global cash views and automated, risk-aware asset management decisions. Ensure Treasury seamlessly distributes operational funds across hundreds of bank accounts in over 50 currencies while driving core North Star metrics for timely fund delivery. Lead the development of sophisticated control mechanisms for liquidity utilization and engineer systems for automated investment of surplus cash adhering to strict regulatory parameters. Collaborate with data scientists to develop machine learning for forecasting cash inflows and outflows, enabling proactive cash positioning and minimizing idle balances. Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to define strategy, shape the roadmap, and deliver solutions that advance Wise's mission of moving money globally.
Required Qualifications
- strong background in software engineering
- proven experience designing, building, and operating complex, scalable and reliable distributed and event-driven systems in a production environment
- comfortable working on a complex and high-stakes domain, such as treasury, payments, or finance
- strong sense of ownership
- ability to think beyond technical implementation to understand how your team's work directly impacts business risk, cost, and customer satisfaction
- experience working closely with product managers and stakeholders to define requirements and prioritize the most impactful work
- demonstrable experience leading and mentoring engineering leads and engineers across diverse domains and all levels
- skills to guide leads towards high-performing teams that are collaborative, supportive, and passionate about achieving goals
