Senior Engineering Geologist

Job Summary
Apply your knowledge to plan and deliver geotechnical projects, producing plans, reports, and specifications for clients. Direct desk-based assessments using aerial photographs and published data, then scope and manage field investigations including drilling crews, laboratory testing, field mapping, and borehole logging. Develop 2D and 3D ground models and perform computer-aided analysis for slope stability. Conduct site reconnaissance for natural hazards to provide remediation designs and present technical deliverables. Lead multi-disciplinary teams from project inception to completion, managing scoping, planning, and resourcing to meet programme and budget targets while building strong client relationships.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified Engineering Geologist or Geotechnical Engineer
- Proven experience in a consulting or contracting environment
- Strong technical capability
- Sound engineering judgement
- Proactive approach to solving complex problems
- Curious and commercially aware
- Ability to translate technical concepts into practical, client-focused solutions
- Confidence working independently
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to contribute to project delivery
- Ability to help develop less experienced team members
