Job Summary
Identify, develop, and manage engineering solutions for product control and control system technology needs, applying control theory and mathematical modeling to design systems with desired behaviors. Execute operability tuning, set boundaries, optimize cycles, and refine control logic, software, sensors, and algorithms to enhance device performance. Provide control tuning guidance to segment simulation teams while driving optimization for reliable, high-performance wind turbines with low LCOE. Contribute to strategy and policy development, using data analysis to support recommendations and act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Lead small projects with moderate risks, explain sensitive information, and build consensus across global teams to influence topics within the field.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited university in electrical engineering, Control Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
- Expertise and some years of experience in controls domain tuning & optimization in relevant industry
- Effective problem identification and solving ability
- Proven ability to work in a cross-functional and global environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
- Strong interpersonal skills, leading and influencing skills and a positive energy
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in controller code development for wind turbines
- Some years of aeroelastic simulation experience for Wind Turbines
- Knowledge of high-fidelity MBS softwares for wind turbine aero elastic simulations (Bladed, Simpack, Hawc2, Adams, etc.)
- Good understanding of WT controls
- Wind turbine system design experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, including ability to work across cultural boundaries in a global team
- Product or Project Management experience
- Pro-active thinking & action to ensure quality
- Strong issue resolution skills and conflict management
