Senior Engineer - Tooling and Process

Job Summary
Design, develop, and improve mechanical and electrical systems, fixtures, jigs, tooling, and manufacturing aids for electrolyzer production. Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation including 2D drawings, 3D models, and BOMs using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Coordinate mechanical engineering activities for equipment development, procurement, installation, commissioning, and validation. Select materials and manufacturing methods based on process requirements, quality standards, and cost effectiveness. Support design reviews, FMEA, and machine safety assessments for new equipment and process changes. Monitor equipment performance and tooling condition to improve production uptime and efficiency. Provide engineering and troubleshooting support to production, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve technical problems and drive continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Engineering - Mechanical / Production / Industrial / Electrical / Manufacturing Engineering or other related engineering field
- Operating knowledge and experience in AutoCAD, SolidWorks and engineering drawing standards
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience with strong mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, equipment maintenance, tooling or industrial project background
- Knowledge of mechanical & electrical design principles, machine elements, pneumatics, hydraulics, material selection, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with fixtures, jigs, tooling, SPMs, conveyors, lifting devices, utilities, plant layout and equipment installation / commissioning
- Knowledge/understanding of machine safety systems, ergonomics, risk assessment, EHS requirements, and applicable standards
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting mechanical systems, root cause analysis, corrective actions, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement projects
- Working knowledge of ERP, BOM management, purchase requisitions, spare parts planning, and engineering change management
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of GD&T, fabrication, machining, welding and assembly processes is preferred
