Job Summary
Senior Mechanical Engineer lead product and system architecture for electro-mechanical actuation solutions. Drive design solutions from requirements definition through detailed machine-level layouts, collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include leading electro-mechanical design efforts, architecture, and verification (FEA, tolerancing) for actuation and power transmission products; engage with product managers and customers in design reviews; contribute to development roadmaps and risk assessments; and apply CAD/analysis tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS) to complex machined assemblies and precision mechanisms. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred), 5+ years of relevant design experience, leadership capabilities, and strong communication skills to interface with customer technical teams and program leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on mechanical machine design of industrial automation or defense products
- Strong leadership, critical thinking, optimization and decision-making skills
- High mechanical aptitude with demonstrated experience designing complex machined assemblies and power transmission systems
- SolidWorks and ANSYS preferred
- Experience leading system-level architecture design and requirements management
- Strong communication skills with ability to interface confidently with customer technical teams and program leadership
- Familiarity with regulated/mission-critical industries preferred (e.g. defense, aerospace, medical, industrial automation)
