Job Summary
Serve as lead for on-site and remote technical management at customer locations, delivering expert support for networking and systems administration during IT upgrade initiatives. Provide strategic consultation and technical guidance in infrastructure planning, engineering, and architecture while evaluating the impact of IT strategies on capabilities. Mentor the on-site professional services engineering team and collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to troubleshoot complex system issues. Lead technology engineering efforts to improve efficiency and ensure quality during customer deployments. This role requires 6+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, with 85-90% domestic travel and heavy on-site presence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- 6 years of experience in hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, networking, and systems administration
- Strong understanding of networking technologies, system architecture, and cloud infrastructure
- Strong understanding of low-voltage cabling and data center configuration best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple technical projects simultaneously
- Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities with a strong client-service orientation
- Ability to travel domestically up to 85% - 90% of the time
- Comfortable with standing and walking for long stretches across different areas of the facility
- Comfortable lifting items—sometimes heavy, up to 65 to 200 pounds—including navigating stairs and placing objects overhead
- Comfortable occasionally working from ladders when tasks require elevation
- Comfortable performing physical motions such as bending, crouching, and reaching on a regular basis
- Comfortable sitting for extended periods while handling administrative or computer-related tasks
- Ability to read printed documents and screens with clarity, including close-up work and adjusting focus as needed
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and by phone, with clear hearing and speech
- Valid Driver's License
- Comfortable working in environments where animals are present, which may involve exposure to pet dander, medical tools, and related substances
- Travel by car and air (up to 75%) is required
