Job Summary
Senior / Engineer Quality Engineer within ASM’s Global Quality team. Responsible for manufacturing excellence across internal sites and contract manufacturers, resolving complex quality issues, driving continuous improvement, and strengthening quality systems aligned with ASM’s technology roadmap. Create detailed inspection plans, lead customer escalations, investigate non-conformances using structured problem-solving methodologies (including 8D), prepare quality reports, identify manufacturing gaps with internal teams and contract manufacturers, track quality metrics, and conduct product and process audits including ISO certification audits at manufacturing sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Quality Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality engineering in a semiconductor equipment or high-tech manufacturing industries
- Experience supporting internal audits, certification audits, and/or customer audits
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, FMEA, SPC, PDCA, 8D problem solving, and Six Sigma
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with hands-on experience applying structured methodologies such as 8D
- Clear and effective communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a global, cross-functional environment
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- ISO 9001 internal auditor or lead auditor certification (preferred)
- Leadership exposure in customer escalation management (preferred)
