Job Summary
Lead the design and delivery of structural engineering projects from concept through to construction for a diverse Property & Buildings portfolio; produce and review designs, calculations and contract documentation to a high standard; manage project delivery, ensuring outcomes are on time, within budget and to quality expectations; build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development; coordinate multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers; apply innovative thinking to solve complex engineering challenges and deliver practical outcomes; maintain a collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement and technical excellence; require BE (Structural) and CPEng with 8+ years’ experience, strong design capability across building structures, and solid knowledge of NZ standards and seismic design
Required Qualifications
- BE (Structural) or equivalent (Washington Accord)
- CPEng (Structural) or equivalent
- 8+ years’ experience within structural engineering
- Strong design capability across a range of building structures (steel, concrete, timber)
- Solid understanding of NZ standards, seismic design and construction practices
- Proven experience managing projects, budgets and client relationships
- Collaborative approach with ability to influence and lead within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication skills and a client-centric mindset
- Commitment to mentoring and supporting others’ growth
