Job Summary
Lead design development, review, and documentation for small to medium structural projects while mentoring junior and mid-level staff. Manage multi-disciplinary teams to coordinate with other disciplines and construction supervision, ensuring fully integrated deliverables. Interface with clients on schedules, meetings, and issues, anticipating delays to initiate alternative plans. Prepare major bids and proposals technically, support digital transformation via BIM tools like Revit and Tekla, and conduct technical audits to ensure compliance with engineering standards and HSE policies.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering (Structural)
- M.Eng or MSc.Eng.
- At least 8 years' experience post obtaining qualification
- Professionally registered with ECSA as Pr.Eng. for at least 3 years
- Ability to develop key and trusted client relationships that can lead to new business
- Demonstrated collaborative skills, both internally and externally
- Ability to advise on complex matters to non-specialists
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and understand the importance of delivery and client satisfaction
- Strong analytical, literacy and numerical skills
- Ability to function with minimal supervision
- Ability to delegate tasks and effectively supervise others
- Experience with American and/or European design codes
- All newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment

- Experience with other associated design programmes
- Experience with running a structural engineering team in a multi-disciplinary team environment where all project drawings are generated using BIM tools (Autodesk Revit)
- Experience with American and/or European design codes preferable
