Job Summary
Senior Engineer role focused on information security oversight and NATO CIS Security Accreditation activities. Responsibilities include security design, CIS Security Risk Assessment, defining security requirements, security testing/validation, ensuring interoperability and secure operating procedures; advisory support on information security to manage identified risks; developing security architectures to mitigate risks; interpreting information assurance policies to manage risks and conduct accreditation across cross-functional domains; planning and executing risk management activities; and planning/leading vulnerability assessment and penetration testing efforts. Requires formal security qualifications; experience with RMF and PILAR; familiarity with NATO processes and security directives. Working location involves hybrid arrangements with onsite/offsite balance and potential travel to NATO sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (minimum)
- 3 years post-related experience
- Professional CIS Security qualification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISM, ISC2 CISSP) or equivalent certification
- Risk Management certification or equivalent
- Knowledge of NATO security policies and directives
- Knowledge of RMF (PILAR) and IT security governance models
- Experience with NATO CIS responsibilities and organization
- Ability to interpret/apply information assurance and security policies to manage risks
- Ability to plan and conduct security risk management activities and security accreditation
