Senior Engineer (Smartgrids and Studies)

Job Summary
Senior Engineer in our Renewables team delivering design and studies, including technical specifications and contractual documentation for renewable energy projects (offshore wind, onshore wind, solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems, HVDC). Lead projects, manage deliverables to timescales and budgets, perform design analysis, review work, resolve technical problems, and provide client advisory. Develop junior engineers, support project delivery from concept through decommissioning, ensure safe and constructible designs with CDM awareness, and pursue innovations that add value for clients. Role can be based anywhere in the UK with flexible working arrangements.
Required Qualifications
- Chartered MIET membership or chartership of another leading UK engineering institution
- Experience in offshore/onshore renewables, energy storage, HVDC
- Power systems analysis and modelling tools (DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSS®E, PSCAD, ETAP, CYMCap)
- UK grid compliance (G5/5, P28)
- UK grid connection process
- Ability to travel to meet clients when necessary
