Senior Engineer (Site Reliability Engineer)

Job Summary
Ensure 24/7 operations and reliability of data services in production GCP and on-premise Hadoop environments by collaborating with development teams to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure data pipelines. Develop monitoring, alerting, and incident response strategies to proactively identify and resolve issues while implementing security and reliability best practices across the software development life cycle. Contribute to automation tools that streamline data service management and participate in on-call rotation to respond to incidents effectively. Evaluate and continuously improve service reliability, scalability, and performance. Join our Bengaluru-based team working on innovative telecommunications projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering, or related field
- 8 -10 years of experience as a SRE
- Proven experience as an SRE, DevOps engineer, or similar role
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Flexible to work in EST time zones ( 9-5 EST)
Desired Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in site reliability engineering or a similar role
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage
- Experience with on-premise Hadoop environments and related technologies (HDFS, Hive, Spark, etc.)
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Scala, Java, Go, etc.)
