Job Summary
The Senior Engineer/Analyst, Instrumentation & Control role at Kinectrics involves delivering engineering expertise to power generation utilities, including developing equipment designs and providing technical guidance to junior engineers. Candidates require a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Electrical/I&C Engineering, 8+ years of experience, and PEO eligibility. Key responsibilities include interface with construction partners, providing field support, and leading design projects. Applicants should demonstrate strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills, along with knowledge of relevant codes and nuclear plant systems.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Electrical/I&C Engineering (or equivalent)
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Professional Engineer of Ontario (PEO) or eligible for PEO status
- In depth knowledge and experience of codes and standards (N299 and CSA N286)
- Experience in control system theory, analysis, and design
- Experience in project management and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Demonstrated commitment to quality
- Excellent problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with projects related to heavy industry, nuclear refurbishment, new build design, or SMR design
- Knowledge and experience working with nuclear power plant systems & processes (e.g., Bruce Power, OPG, NB Power)
Additional Requirements
- OPG and Bruce Power Security Clearance is an asset
- Successful candidate must complete a security clearance process
