Job Summary
Senior Engineer, Security responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive security strategies to protect networks, systems, and applications. Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into the SDLC, conduct vulnerability assessments, and drive incident response and post-incident analysis. Mentors junior team members, engages with peer teams to reduce risk, and evaluates security technologies to strengthen the organization’s security posture. This full-time, hybrid role includes regular in-office presence in Chicago (once a week) with the option for fully remote candidates within the US for the right fit.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in security domains (cloud, application, DevSecOps, or corporate security)
- Hands-on experience with EDR/XDR, WAF, SIEM, SAST/DAST, DLP, PAM, SOAR, CASB
- Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (Python, Java, Bash, Ruby, Node)
- Familiarity with OWASP Top 10, CIS Controls, and NIST CSF
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Proven track record of leading security initiatives
